Renee' LadyByrd Burgess was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida.
She is the mother of 4 beautiful children 3 girls and 1 boy.
LadyByrd or Byrd as she is mostly called became and HIV Activist in 2008 months after being diagnosed the end of 2007 as being HIV Positive. Her story and her life is one that was destined to be shared, is being shared, and for decades to come will remain to be shared.
Her book titled Married: But It Can Happen is due to be out September 3, 2013. This book will change the way married couples think about their entire union. Just when you thought that being married meant safety.
She is also the founder of a non-profit organization called the LadyByrd Live Foundation, Inc. where their mission is to spread the awareness of HIV and AIDS through motivational speaking and teaching. To reach out to people of all ages who are infected and affected by this disease.

This book is a really good read bc it feels like WE best friends that haven't talk in a while she's catching u up on her life and she also motivates n inspire you to b more aware of the ppl u hold dear to ur heart n let u kno even wen u think it cant n won't happen to u....... it will n can happen!!! Good job

A Great Pay It Forward - Inspiring

Married but it Could Happen is a great encapsulation of expectations, life experiences, and empowerment. I applaud the author for her frankness and helping to create greater awareness. She notes domestic abuse, spousal rape, and the malicious spread of HIV/AIDS by her ex. If we could follow the story down he paths of the other women who may infected, OMG. Knowing that Renee Burgess shares her story, celebrates life, and is a true activist is inspiring. I loved reading the book (done all in one sitting!) and recommended it to others.

What a read!! This book is not only informative but also very inspiring! It touches you in so many different ways. Its a great read for men as well as women...and a great read for couples also! Everyone should get this book! Had me hooked from beginning to end!
