"The Power of Musical Sound by Christian Bernard Magnongui is an excellent book for one who wants to expand their knowledge of the many ways music affects our lives. The chapters I found particularly enlightening were those that dealt with Music and Medicine, Music and Genius, and Music and Reading ability. Another chapter in the book that stood out for me was the one on Music, Sound and Spirituality. In this chapter the author pointed out that the sound behind all sounds is HU, a sacred name for God. In listening to the many sounds around me I have found this to be true. Also by singing this word HU I see that I get more insights about my life. The reading of this book has improved my life because it broadened my perspective on the many unusual ways music can benefit all of us.
