About the Author
Dr. Tony Ferretti is a licensed psychologist specializing in helping professionally successful clients with relationship problems. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of New York at Albany and received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi. For over twenty years Dr. Ferretti has shared his expertise in psychology to help others recognize the addictive nature of power, control, and "success." He's appeared on the Dr. Phil Show and hosted his own radio show, Talk to Tony, for nearly two years. Happily married for two decades with three children, he lives and practices in Central Florida.

Dr. Peter Weiss is a physician and healthcare executive with a passion for helping others to physical and emotional health. Dr. Weiss holds Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. Formerly in the practice of Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, he currently he serves as President of Concert Health Plan and Florida Hospital Healthcare System, parts of the Adventist Health System located in Orlando, Florida. Married for over 20 years, he lives with his wife, Sharon, in Orlando, Florida.

Ladies...this one is for you too!

Although the title of this book suggests that it is written for men, as a woman I found it very helpful and informative. As it says in the book, marriage is a partership and both partners can benefit from reading it. I especially liked the Self-Assesment section in each chapter. The questions asked really make you stop and think about your role in making your marriage work. I also liked the Bottom Line at the end of each chapter which summarizes what you've just read. Before reading this book I really thought that my husband should be more considerate, a much better conversationalist and more in touch with my feelings. After reading the book I realize that there are things I need to change about myself before I can expect anything to change in my marriage. All in all, I found this book to be an easy read and very thought-provoking. I would suggest it for anyone who wants to improve his/her marriage and life in general.

Change Your Life, Not Your Wife

The title says it all. Fix that which is broken now (you), or start over and make the same mistakes, probably ending in another broken marriage. The book follows a fictional couple through the process of infidelity and relationship detachment, identifying the core issue (usually fear-based), providing tools for self-change, individual counseling, and couples counseling. The book concludes with healing of the relationship. The other option is also discussed in the Appendix, with the fictional marriage ending is separation, one spouse leaving, divorce, and one spouse undergoing personal healing through individual counseling. The book offers several common sense solutions that unfortunately are not so common in today's high-pressure society. The reader is encouraged to take full responsibility for only the thing(s) he/she can truly impact. These include only his/her own actions and reactions. There are specific questions to address each topic at the end of the chapter for personal or couples discussion and growth. Conflict resolution is described in the most simple terms that this reader has ever seen. Marriage is life's most difficult relationship but can and should be life's most rewarding relationship.

I read this book in a matter of 2 days and instantly began to put the suggestions into practice. I then shared the book with my spouse. At first she was skeptical. "This looks like every other book I have read". However, not trying to control the situation (the old me), I said nothing, just left it out on the coffee table. She eventually began to read it and then took it to her personal counselor. Her counselor is actually ordering a copy for herself! After months of pain and lack of full forgiveness, this week my spouse forgave me and is wiping the slate clean. For the first time in years, I feel our life is headed in the right direction and I look forward to tomorrow. The book did not save my marriage, my wife and I did with a lot of hard and painful work and most of all with help from God. The book did however give me a blueprint for success. That's what I needed. I am changing my thoughts and neuropathways to focus on my marriage and less on my job, control, fear, kids, or distractions. Life is good!

Great relationship advice for any couple

This book is full of wonderful insights and solutions for couples who find themselves in a relationship with a success driven power person, even if they happen to be that person themselves! The book follows the account of a fictitious couple who meet, fall in love and live happily until they finally reach a power failure where the relationship is in crisis. The chapters cover various topics from what is essential for a good marriage, such as good communication and conflict resolution to six relationship killing traits at the other end of the spectrum. There is a wonderful chapter on how you develop your personality traits, which deals with everything from unresolved childhood issues to codependency problems and more. The final chapters deal with the couple seeking out counseling to help them recognize their own responsibility in the failing of their relationship and how to work toward rebuilding a healthy and happy marriage. One of my favorite parts of the book is the way in which the author used highlighted boxes to distill and reinforce the really important information in the chapter - it made it easy to go back and review. I would highly recommend this book to any couple who wants to build and maintain a really healthy relationship.

Say it while you can

Tony Smith nearly died of a heart attack. But he doesn't dwell on that. (That's another of his intimate books.) Rather, he uses it as the springboard for this book of gratitude, full of actual letters sharing words of thanks to the many people in his life. How often have we said, "I wish I'd have told him how much he meant to me?" Tony gets it said, and by sharing his letters he inspires us to do the same. While reminding us that we have a limited time on Earth, Smith lays out a liberating and thrilling example for us to follow in the time we have.

Deeply Moving and Inspirational!

My Letters from the Heart is a collection of emotional and stirring tributes to relatives, teachers, coaches. The author shares his feelings and emotions with the reader that will tug at one's heartstrings. His faith and courage are outstanding and he is an inspiring person. After reading these beautiful heartfelt letters moves one to do something like this in their own life.

I recommend this lovely book to all who need inspiration in their lives.

After reading this book I wrote 5 letters. Everyone who received my letter called to thank me. They all expressed their joy in reading it. One of my friends though was worried that I was ill. She kept asking "are you sure you're alright?" She was very relieved to know I was just expressing my feelings and also taking a walk down the memory lane we shared. I would recommend this book to everyone....and then write those letters!!!

The Best

I consider this book one of the best of Koonz' books written, this and its sequel, Seize the Night! The previous reviewer said the book "sucked you in" and I agree. I've read both books at least a dozen times and still get that tingle that only Dean can draw out of you and make shivers run down your spine. You won't regret purchasing these books, I promise you!

Snowman. A play on words. A pet name given to Christopher Snow by girlfriend Sasha.

From the very beginning you're hooked, even though I'm not a Dean Koontz fan. I grabbed this audio book out of curiousity. The back described a world I might enjoy being sucked in to. And sucked in I was!

Christopher loses his Dad and finds himself wrapped up in a mystery that has long held the commnuity captive. Christopher never saw it before his Dad died. With Chris's condition, he rarely left the house in daylight. But I digress or ruin the story for you.

You'll fall in love with Chris, Sasha and Bobby, Chris' best friend from childhood who lives a beachbum life, buut has a funny wisdom to him as well.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery with some sci fi mixed in. It's right up there with X-Files and Buffy.

Great Prequel to the Wildlander Saga

Wildlanders' Hope is the back story and the beginning (I hope) to many of the answers for the questions left in Wildlanders' Woman. It was a great history lesson on both the Arcadians (who I am still choosing at this moment to loathe) and the Wildlanders (a very kind, brave and simple society) and how they have come to co-exist in the present time of the fantasy world Jenycka has created.

I found myself truly behind Niomi and a little in love with the men of her clan. I loved her ability to adapt to the changing life before her and willingness to fight for a life with her child, yet still able to trust in her men for support.

I am not a fan of novellas in general, as I prefer reading longer stories; however I feel that Jenycka did a great job in wrapping the story up and giving us a sense of closure with the Clan of Niomi. I do hope at some point we will hear more of her story and I definitely am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

With the decision of hiding for the rest of her life or dying looming over un-married and very pregnant Niomi, she doesn't know what to do. When she's rescued by the brute Wildlander men, hope blossoms in Niomi along with hidden passions she didn't even dream existed.

This was a wonderful prequel to the Wildlander series. Unfortunately I already read the first two novels in the Wildlander saga so I knew that the Wildlander people would survive, so there wasn't much surprise in that.

Niomi wasn't bad of a character but I didn't completely connect with her like I do with the other characters in Jenycka's other novels.

Overall a pretty great prequel to a pretty unique series!

Sizzling addictive series

Lisa & Brady have been together forever. Experienced their entire firsts with each other and overall the life they share is perfect apart from one aspect in Lisa’s view…intercourse. With their wedding day fast approaching Lisa’s mind begins to question if all the hot books she reads describing earth shattering orgasms through penetration are overrated. Never having experienced an orgasm herself through intercourse with Brady and having nothing to compare with, niggling doubts quickly begin to fester resulting in stirring Brady’s own suspicions alerting him that something is off kilter with the woman who owns his heart & soul.

Wanting to avoid hurting Brady by exposing her doubts, Lisa’s tries her best to tackle the subject with care. But Brady knows this woman inside and out and is already aware of the full extent of the turmoil she’s battling within. Having a heart-to-heart only days before their big day leads Brady to reminding Lisa of the pact they once made when they first started dating. Back then it was a pact founded on words without any deep feelings being involved. But now years on, the bond these two characters now share with their love & devotion and the emotional connections have grown way beyond anything they imagined.

Can two people who love and adore each other so deeply act on a promise which they both agreed on at the beginning of their relationship without any repercussions? And what happens when Brady’s suggestions opens up revelations that Lisa never saw coming? Will this be make or break for the couple who thought their future was carved in stone.

Another riveting short read in the second instalment in The Domville series by CJ. The plot will keep you guessing right till the very end with how this one unravels. I loved every minute. The characters, the twist and turns in which the story unfolds. The element of surprise and the sex scene…omg it’s a scorcher.

Have no doubt this author knows how to write and the proof is here to see in the way she’s adapted a simple scenario transforming it in to something totally captivating that holds your attention until the very last page.

Thank you so much CJ for the dedication…I loved every word.The only disappointment for me was reaching the end.

After ten years together Brady and Lisa are getting married. Everyone believes them to be the perfect couple. Being each other firsts the only sexual experience is with each other and Lisa wonders if they could have more together.

They had make a decision that they could have one night with someone else with no repercussions. What Lisa didn't expect was for Brady to actually do it. Then on the eve before the Wedding Lisa wonders if there is something she is missing and whether or not to have a night with a stranger.

After much discussion with her sister Mandy the girl decide to go to the bar and see what happens, meeting a handsome stranger.

And Brady after his night with the men was a long night of Roger his best man teaching all about how to take their sex life to the next level.

Will the stranger change Lisa and Brady's love life? Can the two put the two one night stands behind them and more on together?
